Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau advances in Social Madness challenge
Only one Hawaii company is still standing after the first round of the national Social Madness social media challenge.
The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau made it through to the second round of the bracket-style challenge, and faces Portland, Ore.-based Leatherman multi-tools this week in the medium-sized company category of the bracket-style challenge.
The HVCB was one of three Hawaii companies to win the local Social Madness challenge and advance to the national bracket competition, which started last week. But Montgomery Pacific Outsourcing LLC didn’t advance in the small business category, while Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows did not advance in the large company category.
HVCB still has a shot at winning $10,000 for a charity of its choice, which is the grand prize for the three category winners in the national competition.
