United flight to LAX turns back to Honolulu, twice, due to odor
A United Airlines flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles turned back twice after passengers and crew members noticed an electrical odor on board.
KITV reports the captain of the Boeing 737-300 first returned to Honolulu International Airport an hour after taking off Wednesday morning. KITV reports mechanics checked the plane, which took off again at 12:15 p.m., but the pilot turned around again after the odor returned and the plane landed in Honolulu safely.
