Dialogue in the Dark Hong Kong’s 3rd Anniversary Celebrating 200 Thousand Participants

Dialogue in the Dark Hong Kong has reached 200 thousand participants in three years, and its Experiential Exhibition is also ranked amongst the top three attractions in Hong Kong on TripAdvisor.

The Experiential Exhibition is further enhancingits dark experience, presenting “Discover Hong Kong in the Dark” this summer, allowing participants to experience Hong Kong from a different angle.

We are committed to enhancing our dark experience in order to appeal to local and overseas visitors. Currently the majority of our guests are local Hong Kong people, with 10-15% are overseas visitors. Dialogue in the Dark Hong Kong will continue to enhance and develop diversified dark experiences, creating unique experiences for Hong Kong people and visitors across the world. We hope to become a mainstream attraction for tourists and a desired travel and leisure destination for Hong Kong people.”

Celebrating 3rd Anniversary, Enhanced Scenes to Strengthen Interaction

In celebration of Dialogue in the Dark 3-year anniversary, the Experiential Exhibition is bringing in new elements and sensation effects, elevating the dark experience. New interactive scenes with stimulating surround sound effects are introduced, creating a more real and exciting experience for participants.

Presents “Discover Hong Kong in the Dark” this summer

This summer, Dialogue in the Dark introduces “Discover Hong Kong in the Dark”, bringing unique Hong Kong elements into the dark space. Experiencing the interactive scenes and stimulating surround effects, participants will dive into their imagination of Hong Kong.Participants will be holding a white cane and enter a world of darkness guided by professional visually impaired tour guides, experience unseen Hong Kong spots, feel the local atmosphere. Brand new features of “Discover Hong Kong in the Dark” includes:

  • Bustling marketplace to recollect warm moments
  • Classy Garden with pleasant surprise in nature
  • Unique Hong Kong style small shops, and a taste of Hong Kong’s special snacks

‘Just Touch’ Art Exhibition with Hong Kong Baptist University

Dialogue in the Dark jointly presents the ‘Just Touch’ Art Exhibition with Hong Kong Baptist University. 12 art pieces were designed and created by Visual Arts students from HKBU. Incorporating visual and touch effects, visitors may enjoy art in a whole new perspective, gaining an extraordinary experience from the art pieces.

‘Just Touch’ is a vision for dynamic and awakening experiences. It aims to explore the haptic art both as the new dimension for visual arts, as well as the gateway to social awareness of various needs of the communities in Hong Kong and the other regions. Mr. Chong Chan-yau, the founder of ‘Just Touch’ believes that the sense of touch would enable us to get in touch with various issues within our society.

Special visitors’ discount and special designed gift

To celebrate Dialogue in the Dark Hong Kong’s three-year anniversary, starting from 1 July 2013, the first 100 guests to the Experiential Exhibition shall receive a special designed gift; and in reciprocation of the community’s loyal support, from 1 July to 30 September 2013, guests whose Hong Kong Identity Card number has a “3” shall enjoy a HK$20 off the admission ticket (not applicable to concession tickets).
