The Diamond Princess received an extensive new Japanese bath area which offers the largest such bath experience at sea, as well as a new sushi restaurant, a sports arena and many other new and transformed facilities. “We are very excited that Diamond Princess is ready for cruising, and we are confident that the new amenities and facilities will appeal to the passengers,” said Farriek Tawfik, South East Asia Director, Princess Cruises, who is based in Singapore. “The deployment of Diamond Princess underscores Princess Cruises’ continued commitment to develop the full potential of the cruise market in the region.”

The Diamond Princess will be homeported in Tokyo (Yokohama) from 17 April until October this year, providing passengers with a variety of Japan-based voyages calling at destinations in South Korea, Taiwan, Russia and 15 ports in Japan. Princess Cruises is the first international cruise line to offer a full season of cruise trips designed specifically for Japanese passengers, as well as cruisers who are keen on experiencing a Japanese-themed voyage.
