Dinosaur returns to Centennial Park for National Science Week

ERTH’s Australian dinosaur Australovenator will be roaming Centennial Park once again on Saturday 13 August 2016 as the key attraction of Centennial Parklands’ Science in the Swamp event.

Science in the Swamp returns for its fourth year, offering a free day of family fun with science shows, wildlife, venomous snakes, plant potting, a shark in a bus and much more.

“Science in the Swamp is the largest single day National Science Week event in NSW and attracts thousands of visitors every year,” said Brendan Smith, Community Team Leader at Centennial Parklands.
“Every year gets better, with this year featuring a Shark in a Bus – literally!”

Other highlights include:
• live venomous snakes with expert snake handlers
• interactive science show or play with hands on science toys
• giant carp with Centennial Park’s fish whisperer Tony Steiner

• Time: 11.00 am to 3.00 pm

Large crowds are expected again this year, so it is recommended visitors plan ahead and consider public transport to avoid traffic and parking delays.
