Discover Kangaroo Island’s fascinating wildlife, spectacular coastal scenery, stunning landscapes, pristine beaches and unique local wines and produce on SeaLink’s four day and three night Kangaroo Island fully escorted tour, departing 22 February and 19 March 2016.
This amazing tour is escorted by well-known South Australian Tour Host, Shirley Tamm, who has over 35 years’ experience in the travel industry.
“I’m so excited to be escorting my eleventh SeaLink Kangaroo Island Tour. I never dreamed these tours would be so popular. We launched the first tour in 2014 and every tour has been a sell-out. I love nothing better than showing people my own backyard. “Ms Tamm explains.
“It’s so wonderful to see the looks on people’s faces when they are on Kangaroo Island – they are in awe as most people don’t realise how beautiful the island is, how breathtaking the sights and wildlife are and how much the island has to offer.
I also pride myself on really looking after my guests. I’m with them all day every day and ensure they have a wonderful time.” Ms Tamm continues.
Day one on the three night Kangaroo Island Experience includes a visit to Frenchman’s Rock; the historic Maritime and Folk Museum; SA’s first lighthouse – Cape Willoughby, the magnificent KI Artworks Gallery and Cliffords Honey Farm – home to the rare Ligurian honey bees and a chance to taste their famous honey ice-cream! Guests will also enjoy lunch overlooking the Gulf at Ultima Thule Café.
Day two features a stop at Seal Bay Conservation Park where guests join a guided walk through a colony of wild Australian Sea-lions; marvel at the spectacular Raptor Domain, Birds of Prey show and visit South Australia’s first sheep dairy and cheese factory, Island Pure Sheep Dairy, for a sheep milking demonstration and tastings. Lunch is at the picturesque Vivonne Bay Lodge followed by wine tasting at Bay of Shoals Winery.
On day three experience the natural rugged beauty of Flinders Chase National Park where guests will witness nature’s breath-taking creations – Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, before falling in love with the Long-Nosed Fur Seal colony. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at the Andermel Marron Farm and then spend the afternoon touring the marron farm and sampling their Two Wheeler Creek Wines and bush tucker.
On day four guests will sail back to the mainland and tour through the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula with a leisurely stop at Victor Harbor, Horseshoe Bay at Port Elliot for spectacular sea views and the beautiful McLaren Vale before arriving in Adelaide.
The four day Kangaroo Island Escorted Tour is priced from $1089 per person twin share and departs from Adelaide Central Bus Station on 22 February and 19 March 2016.
