Dive into Seafood Room’s New Range of Marine-inspired Cocktails

April 10, 2017 Beverage No Comments Email Email

Launching this week is Seafood Room’s exciting new cocktail menu, full of unique flavours and ingredients inspired by the wonders of the aquatic. The cocktail menu boasts eight new signature cocktails, five forgotten classics, three sharing cocktails and five mocktails, perfect for after-work drinks, gathering with friends in atmospheric setting.

“Inspired by all things marine, our new cocktails refresh the senses with unusual ingredients and unlikely combinations. Flavours and aromas of Erasmus Bond Dry Tonic, uni flower honey and rhubarb bitters tell an interesting story with each sip. I love creating not just cocktail recipes but whole menu concepts and the stories behind each cocktail,” says Alex Chatte, Seafood Room Head Mixologist.

The menu is an interesting take on iconic cocktails with a Seafood Room signature twist, creating new concepts with different, and sometimes surprising, flavour profiles. Lovers of the classic dirty martini should look no further than the Salt Marsh Martini (HKD198), a nautical concoction of seaweed and a vodka distilled from milk, nori water, lactalium vodka and vanilla sugar. Other signature cocktails at Seafood Room include the Coral Reef Mai Tai (HKD168), a twist on the classic Mai Tai featuring albelha organis, cachaça, spicy liquor, dark rum and pistachio orgeat, and the Mangrove Colada (HKD108), an enticing aromatic fusion of rum bielle, homemade coconut cream, homemade coconut syrup, pineapple juice and kalamansi.

Guests can enjoy the vibrant, social atmosphere of Seafood Room over new creative sharing concoctions such as the Nutty Swan(HKD588), a sizzling mix of Zubrowska, yuzu, lime, faernum liquor, ginger beer dressed with cucumber noodles & dry ice or The Drip(HKD428), a twist on the humble lemonade, inspired by the cajun culture, a fruity yet light and refreshing cocktail for people who like a bit of a kick, combining new grove white, Pimms no1, lemon juice, sprite and a hint of tabasco, topped off with lemon and orange peel.

Highlights from the mouth-watering mocktail menu include a Chai Lassi (HKD128), a creamy blend of banana, mango, chai infused milk, coconut sugar and yoghurt or the Ice Fire Chocolate (HKD128), a mouth-watering mixture of almond milk, Sichuan pepper chocolate and maple syrup.

With a range of deliciously unexpected libations, surprising twists on classic cocktails and the city’s hottest DJs setting the scene with curated tracks, Seafood Room is the perfect spot for a chilled sundowner or social gathering. Enjoy at the art-centric bar area or on the impressive 2000 sq ft roof terrace overlooking stunning views of Victoria Harbour.
