dnata has a long-established relationship with Qantas, having first become the airline’s GSA in Dubai, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon in 1973. With increased traffic between India and Australia, dnata expects the new relationship to support continued ties between the two regions.

“dnata’s relationship with Qantas has been one of our most successful, lasting more than 41 years,” said Abdulla Tawakul, dnata Travel’s Senior Vice President, Corporate & Regional Network. “Through dnata in India, customers can now book Qantas to destinations across Australia and the South West Pacific.”

With partner airline Jet Airways, Qantas offers 28 codeshare flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Australia via Singapore. Popular leisure and business destinations, such as Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, are available with daily connections. Qantas also offers daily connections from Chennai to Australia via Singapore as well as from Mumbai via Bangkok and Hong Kong.

“Qantas is delighted to extend its partnership with dnata through clients in India,” said Rohan Garnett, Regional General Manager—Middle East, Africa, India and South Asia, Qantas Airways LTD. “We have been active in the Indian market for over 60 years. We look forward to developing this vast and exciting market, in partnership with dnata.”
