Celebrate this special season and steep yourself in holiday tradition with Le Tea Time de Noel at Le Meurice. This delectable afternoon tea at Restaurant Le Dali includes homemade tea sandwiches, biscuits, pastries, and a special selection of three Christmas cakes. The occasion will also offer Cherries at Christmas! Yule Log created by Pastry Chef Cédric Grolet. This year’s yule log is sculpted of red cherries made of chocolate while the inside is composed of cherry compote, green almonds and tarragon (€58 per person; available December 6-27, 2015). There are Christmas treats for every generation at Hotel Plaza Athénée. The recently restored palace hotel overlooking the Eiffel Tower on avenue Montaigne will be a winter wonderland inside and out. Inside, the hotel will warm the hearts of guests of all ages with specially made red “crackers” containing signature red teddy bears. A Christmas tree in the lobby will be decorated with balls and baubles holding sweets and room keys – fun for children to seek and find upon arrival. The hotel’s master Pastry Chef Christophe Michalak will put his own special touch on the season with Goûter de Noël (68€ per person with a glass of champagne and a hot beverage). This year’s Christmas log is inspired by the hotel’s kitchen which will be designed as a kitchen range, including palate stirring pots and pans that “heat up” the range. This limited edition dessert will include mandarin marmalade, light milk chocolate with a hint of tea and a soft biscuit topped with crunchy gianduja.
