To end the great year of 2015, Dorsett Hospitality International has once again contributing towards the society with its ‘Bear-licious’ and ‘Panda-licious’ thematic festive gift packs as fundraising merchandise. All proceeds will be channelled to Rumah Sayangan which is located at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
Dorsett Hospital International’s Vice Chairman – Datin Jasmine Abdullah Heng said, ‘Dorsett Hospitality International has always been caring and aware of the needs of the less fortunate. This is our on-going effort in constantly contributing to touch the hearts of the needy ones. Our thematic festive gift packs, which have been running for the second consecutive years, are available for ‘adoption’ at Dorsett and Silka hotels in Kuala Lumpur – namely Dorsett Kuala Lumpur, Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur and Silka Cheras. We look forward to the support from all to make it a successful one, in giving back to the society especially during this festive season.’
Going with the theme of ‘Bear-licious’ and ‘Panda-licious’ this year, the festive giveaway packs are up for ‘adoption’ featuring a Dorsett Bear with candies for RM50 each and also the Panda-licious comprising Mom and Baby panda with candies up for RM80 each. Each one will be ‘hugging’ two tins of candies…one with marshmallows and the other with gummy bears. Donors have the option of taking the panda/bear back or to give away the bear/panda to the children of the home – Rumah Sayangan. Public who wish to pledge and support this meaningful effort may approach the friendly Front Office team members from participating hotels.
Coming to its second year in support, Andaman Group has purchased 90 units of ‘Bear-licious’ and 15 units of ‘Panda-licious’. All proceeds to channel to Rumah Sayangan – a home to the 18 underprivileged, abused, abandoned and orphaned children located in Cheras.
A simple ceremony of ‘Bear-licious’ and ‘Panda-licious’ adoption was held at the head office of Andaman Group with the witness of Dato’ Sri Dr Vincent Tiew, Managing Director of Andaman Group and Mr Henry Loo, General Manager from Silka Maytower Kuala Lumpur alongside fellow representatives from Dorsett Hospitality International. The meaning event was also graced by the attendance of fellow employees and media with warmth of festivities throughout.
