Double Royal Caribbean Ship Arrivals Bring Over 7,500 Guests to Phuket

Royal Caribbean International’s cruise ship Mariner of the Seas which is at anchor in Phuket since yesterday for an overnight call, is joined by sister ship Ovation of the Seas today on her maiden call at Phuket.  Between both ships, they have brought over 7,500 international tourists to this destination on a single day.

Mariner of the Seas is currently on a 7-night cruise from Singapore which also called at Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi.  Ovation of the Seas which is Asia’s largest, has arrived on a 5-night cruise from Singapore carrying over 4,300 guests, which is also the highest number of guests ever on a ship call at Phuket.

The guests had the opportunity to go ashore to visit famous local destinations such as Promthep Cape, Wat Chalong Temple and Phang Nga Bay on Royal Caribbean’s shore excursions.
