DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District, located in the heart of the “Ancient City,” the first permanent European settlement in the continental U.S. Formerly a Ramada Inn, the five-story hotel has been completely redesigned and renovated in the city’s traditional Old Spanish style while featuring modern updates and amenities throughout. Within easy walking distance of St. Augustine’s many cultural and historical attractions, and just 50 miles from the Jacksonville International Airport, the 97-room hotel offers leisure, group and business travelers the comforts of home blended with features that convey the city’s proud Spanish heritage.
