15% discount off overland journeys that actively avoid the hotspots of ‘overtourism’.

Whilst overtourism is a relatively new term, Dragoman have been fighting against the very essence of it for the past 38 years.  Avoiding the typical tourist trail is simply part of their DNA and they have been taking curious travellers off the beaten track since starting way back in 1981.  The very reason for the existence of overland travel is to take people beyond the well-known.

Today, with the spotlight firmly on Sustainable & Responsible Travel and a strong push to discourage travellers from places heavily effected by overtourism, overland travel has once again come to the forefront. Dragoman are taking this opportunity to further encourage travellers to step away from the norm and support the fight against overtourism by offering a 15% discount on 15 of their more remote Overland journeys.

These carefully selected trips are spread across Africa, Asia and Latin America, with the vast majority being 3-4 weeks long to ensure travellers have enough time to really experience the destination, rather than just seeing the highlights.

Charlie Hopkinson, UK based, Director of Dragoman, says, “It’s all about ensuring we give people the option to travel to lesser known destinations or regions as we try and release the pressure on historically popular locations.”

Hopkinson added “one example for this particular campaign is that we have included a very special journey in Peru that hikes the Wild Andes Trek rather than the Classic Inca Trail as Dragoman the only tour operator to travel through this remote area.”

Clients can save 15% off the following trips departing before 31 December 2020 if booked between 18 August and 16 September 2019. To book call the Dragoman team on 1800 951 060 for Australia or +61 3 8594 3108 if you’re in New Zealand, email agents@dragoman.com.au or visit www.dragoman.com for full itinerary details and dates.
