Raju Arivazagan and Lim Joo Seng returned to the fast lane with a triumphant performance in the Audi quattro Cup 2019 Singapore.

Winners of the 2014 edition, the duo rediscovered their magic touch to claim top honours over the New Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

For the second time they will now have the distinction of flying the Singapore flag at the Audi quattro Cup World Final in Kitzbühel, Austria. There, from September 22-26, they will compete against teams from 40 countries in the Audi quattro Cup World Final at Golf Club Schwarzsee.

After beating 70 two-player teams at Sentosa, Arivazagan and Lim were congratulated on their success by Markus Schuster, who is taking over from Jeff Mannering as Managing Director of Audi Singapore. Mannering is assuming a similar role for Audi in South Korea.

Arivazagan said: “We are excited to once again represent Singapore at the World Final. It was a great day on the course (at Sentosa) and I’m happy we came out on top. We will definitely do our best to bring home the win! Thank you to Audi Singapore for organising yet another great competition.”

Lim added: “It’s always a fun time at the Audi quattro Cup, meeting and playing amongst so many seasoned golfers, at a very well-organised event. Our last trip to the World Final in Dubai was such an eye-opener and I’m thrilled that we now have the opportunity to do Singapore proud in Austria.”

Quincy Quek, Audi ambassador and one of Singapore’s leading professional golfers, said: “The players really brought their best to the competition this year. It was great to see so much talent, camaraderie and sportsmanship on the greens. Congratulations to the winners. Playing at the World Final in Austria will be an amazing experience.”

Up for grabs as hole-in-one prizes at the Singapore qualifier were the Audi A6, A7 Sportback and A8 L, three of the latest models from the brand.

Globally, more than 100,000 golfers compete in more than 700 tournaments in the Audi quattro Cup annually. The winning teams from these regional tournaments move on to the World Final to fight for the title.

Opened in 1989, Golf Club Schwarzsee is located at the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. The club offers breathtaking views of the Astberg, Rauher Kopf and Wilder Kaiser peaks, and has a Schwarzsee lake for relaxing and unwinding after the tournament.
