GM Chatchawal Supachayanont of Dusit Thani Pattaya (centre) leads the hotel staff and management as they are warmly welcomed with garlands and local music by the townspeople of Amphoe Prasat in Surin province during their arrival to perform krathin religious rites marking the end of the Buddhist Lent.

The hotel was by joined by colleagues from Dusit Princess Srinakarin Bangkok and other merit makers from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Chot Amnat Limited and Green Leaf Foundation who presented robes to monks at the Wat Rat Niyom Temple in Plai district.

They also donated cash to help build restroom facilities for the village, school supplies and bicycles for schoolchildren and medical equipment for the local hospital. The krathin merit making is one of Dusit Thani Pattaya’s annual activities under its CSR program. All donations are raised by the hotel personnel and brought to an upcountry village to offer to the monks and the less fortunate.
