If you think eCommerce is hot, then according to speakers at industry leading hotel conference Maximum Occupancy this week in Sydney, and especially Kamesh Shukla, Senior Vice President of RATEGAIN, from New Delhi in India, you are living in the past.
Kamesh told me that not only is eCommerce dead, but so is sCommerce, aka social media commerce, with mobile commerce, that is mCommerce having speedily taken over as the single most powerful manner in which travellers connect, how they make decisions on line, and most importantly how they book, all critical information for any tourism or hospitality business, so check out my interview with Kamesh below.
Adrian Caruso MD of Fastrack, the organisers of this week’s Maximum Occupancy opened proceedings saying that the day would be a game changer for many of the over 200 delegates and with Kamesh’s presentation just a taste of some of the revelations that were revealed at the conference, and that will be revealed to you in my reports in articles and videos on Global Travel Media, over the few days to a week or so.
Kamesh was just one of a phalanx of high quality speakers from not only within Australia but overseas, with others including leaders from industry leading organisations including Google, Deloitte, Amadeus, Facebook, Instagram, Delion Wireless, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Golden Chain, Tourism Australia, RESNET, Quest, Lancemore, Mantra, Accor, TFE, IHG, Grace Hotel, Cambridge Hotel, Hotel Tonight, Australian Revenue Management Association, Star Ratings Australia, and more!
So, make sure you also check out our articles and videos appearing this week on Global Travel Media from Maximum Occupancy … but first, discover the world of mCommerce from Kamesh by clicking on the video below – simply awesome!
