Ecoventura, a leader in sustainable cruising through the Galapagos Islands, is redefining the cruising experience with its newest and greenest premium-vessel, the MV Theory.
The MV Theory is a 20-passenger mega-yacht featuring 10 premium cabins all located on the same deck. Inspired by the Galapagos’ calming nature, the minimalistic-chic interior incorporates a sophisticated, neutral color palette to complement the simple white linens. Constructed with discerning couples, families and multi-generational travelers in mind, MV Theory’s spacious cabins feature convertible twin beds that can combine into a king-size bed. Interconnecting rooms and triple cabins are also available.
The newest vessel to join Ecoventura’s fleet features similar onboard amenities that guests of its sister ship, the MV Origin, have grown to enjoy and love, including a full-time concierge, fitness center, a sundeck with chic loungers and daybeds, an open-bar policy, and a Jacuzzi. Guests can also enjoy locally inspired Ecuadorian cuisine from the comfort of the ship’s dining room, or in an al-fresco setting on the sundeck. MV Theory also offers sustainable, plant-based vegetarian and gluten-free meals, catering to a variety of food preferences.
The MV Theory operates on Ecoventura’s current schedule, which rotates between two A & B seven-night itineraries, and can be combined into a comprehensive two-week excursion. Itinerary A follows a southern/central route, and itinerary B follows a northern/western route. On both routes, guests can partake in daily excursions on shore, optional snorkel or glass-bottom boat and kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding tours, and expect to come face-to-face with the Galapagos’ freely wondering wildlife, including sea lions, Blue Footed Boobies, penguins, tortoises and more.
MV Theory hit the seas and right away joined sister ship MV Origin in its ranks as the only yachts ever to be inducted as official members of the esteemed Relais & Chateaux organization, becoming part of a distinguished group of hoteliers, chefs and restaurateurs that have set the standard for excellence in hospitality.
MV Theory’s rates for 2019 start at $7,850 per person based on double occupancy, and include all meals, beverages and snacks, Captain’s welcome and farewell social gatherings, an open-bar policy, including wine and spirits, guided shore excursions, snorkel equipment and multiple stand-up paddle boards and sea kayaks, as well as transfers in the islands between the airport and dock.
