On Saturday 30 May 2015, the National Finals of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Young Chef Competition were held at Le Cordon Bleu in North Ryde in Sydney.
Seven finalists from Australia’s finest restaurants battled it out in a number of gruelling tests for a chance to represent Australia at the International Final in Budapest, Hungary on 19 September 2015.
This year’s competitors included Emily Laubsch, Brody Young-Steedman, Jarrod Walsh (InterContinental Sydney), Tyson Burrows, Beatrice Segura, Kayla Cooper and Matthew Clark.
The competition was headed by Tamas Pamer, Director of Culinary and Food & Beverage Services at InterContinental Sydney. The panel of culinary judges were led by Karen Doyle, Culinary Head of Le Cordon Bleu Sydney and she was supported by experienced culinary judges and tasting judges, who are also members of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Emily Laubsch as winner of this prestigious competition will represent Australia in the world competition held in Budapest, Hungary in September 2015.

This annual event offers young chefs the opportunity to demonstrate their culinary skills in a competitive environment with their peers. It also allows the Young Chefs to showcase their talent and creativity in the national and international arenas.
