Emirates SkyCargo has recognised it’s top agents across NSW yesterday at its annual award luncheon in Sydney.
“Emirates SkyCargo in NSW has gone from strength to strength over the past twelve months, now offering three dedicated, state of the art freighters a week from Sydney,” said Greg Johnson, Emirates Cargo Manager, Australia.

“We’ve seen a year of great change, with our global aviation partnership with Qantas underway, operating in a market known for its intense competition, together with global commercial pressures,” he continued.

“We are continually impressed by the high standards from all the agents who contribute to the success of SkyCargo’s business in NSW, and beyond. This luncheon and award ceremony is our way of whole-heartedly thanking them for their continued support,” he continued.

The 2013 agents honoured for their substantial contributions to the Emirates SkyCargo business include DHL Global Forwarding, C.T. Freight Pty Ltd and TNT Australia Pty Limited.

Appreciation awards went to Global Specialised Services Pty Ltd, UTI Aust Pty Ltd and Air Menzies International Aust Pty Ltd.

“Once again I would like to thank and congratulate all our agents and cargo partners on your well-deserved recognition. We are proud of your achievements and recognise how fortunate we are to benefit from your contributions,” Mr Johnson said.

“Looking ahead, there is more change to come as globally, SkyCargo moves toward operating out of Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport, when it becomes the hub for our freighter operations from May 2014.”

Construction has begun on Emirates SkyCargo’ s new state-of-the-art cargo terminal and supporting facilities at Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport, which is set to become the home of its freighter operations and will have the capacity to manage 700,000 tonnes of cargo per annum.

In the 2012/13 Financial Year, Emirates Skycargo’s tonnage increased 16 per cent reaching a remarkable 2.1million tonnes.
