Emirates is set to enhance its on-board experience and increase capacity on its daily services from Dubai to Malta with the introduction of larger Boeing 777-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from 1 June 2016.
The addition of these two larger aircraft on Emirates’ flights to Malta will provide an average of 95 additional seats daily, allowing even more Australians to travel to the country via Emirates’ convenient international hub, Dubai.
The B777-300 and B777-300ER aircraft will replace the current A340-300 aircraft that services the route, and will offer passengers even more on-board comfort, entertainment and seats, including an updated inflight entertainment system.
Travellers from Malta to Dubai can look forward to Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system, offering over 2,500 channels of on-demand audio and visual entertainment, from the latest movies, TV shows, music, audio books and games.
As with all Emirates flights, passengers will benefit from a generous baggage allowance of 30kg in Economy Class, 40kg in Business Class and 50kg in First Class.
Emirates currently operates daily flights from Dubai to Malta via Tunisia (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and Cyprus (Mondayand Wednesday).
From June, Emirates will operate its five weekly flights to Malta via Tunis, Tunisia on a B777-300 aircraft.
EK749 departs Dubai (DXB) every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 07:30hrs and arrives in Tunis (TUN) at 10:50hrs. It then departs Tunis (TUN) at 12:30hrs and arrive in Malta (MLA) at 14:40hrs. The return flight, EK749 departs Malta (MLA) at 16:25hrs and lands in Dubai (DXB) at 23:50hrs.
Emirates twice weekly flights to Malta via Larnaca, Cyprus, will also operate on a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
EK109 leaves Dubai (DXB) every Monday and Wednesday at 07:55hrs, arriving in Larnaca (LCA) at 11:10hrs. It then departs Larnaca (LCA) at 12:20hrs and arrives in Malta (MLA) 14:10hrs. The return flight, EK110, departs Malta (MLA) at 15:30hrs and arrives in Larnaca (LCA) at 18:55hrs. It then leaves Larnaca (LCA) at 20:05hrs and lands in Dubai (DXB) at 01:00hrs the following day.
The B777-300 aircraft will offer 12 lie flat seats in First Class and 42 lie flat seats in Business Class, as well as 310 seats in Economy Class. While the B777-300ER aircraft will offer 8 suites in First Class and 42 lie flat seats in Business Class, as well as 310 seats in Economy Class.
