Emirates introduces exclusive world-renowned dessert wine on-board

This month Emirates has introduced one of the world’s most revered dessert wines, the 2005 Chateau d’Yquem from Bordeaux, onboard for a limited time only in Emirates’ First Class.https://www.pata.org/portfolio/ptm-2016/

The 2005 Chateau d’Yquem, is a sweet white dessert wine from Sauternes, Bordeaux, France and is well known as one of the world’s finest dessert wines. Retailing between USD $250-$920 per bottle, it gained a rating of 97 on the Robert Parker wine rating scale, and is one of the highest scoring wines of all time on average.

An airline exclusive, stocked only on-board Emirates, there will be 2,400 bottles of the vintage available to First Class customers across the Emirates entire fleet of over 250 aircraft lasting until approximately mid-July 2016.

The addition of this wine on-board demonstrates Emirates’ ongoing commitment to providing its passengers with the most superior wine selection in the sky, which saw the airline invest over US$140 million on wines across all cabins in 2015.

In the last year, Emirates added 10 more wines on offer each day, and now has 70 different champagnes, wines and ports on its flights on an average day in all classes across its international network of over 150 destinations.
