Emirates opens new luxury lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport

unnamed (17)Emirates, the global connector of people and places, has opened its refurbished lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport for First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Platinum and Gold members of Emirates Skywards.

The refurbished Emirates Lounge was delivered with a total investment of 1 million USD (THB 30 million), with the aim to provide a seamless, luxurious travel experience to its premium customers. The lounge is 516sqm and can now accommodate up to 136 passengers, and features a new, contemporary design and the same attention to detail as the other Emirates’ lounges throughout the world.

“The refurbishment of this lounge is an integral part of our premium product and service strategy. We’ve invested to provide our premium passengers with an exclusive area to rest and refresh while travelling. Suvarnabhumi Airport Lounge is in a new design that reflects the modern style of the Emirates lounges at Dubai’s Concourse A, the world’s largest A380 hub,” said Jabr Al-Azeeby, Emirates’ Area Manager of Thailand and unnamed (16)Indochina.

“Our capacity to Bangkok has increased significantly every year and our commitment to the country has also grown. Approximately 300 premium customers are expected to use the lounge on a daily basis. With this new lounge, our passengers will be able to enjoy an extensive menu of complimentary hot and cold gourmet buffet and an extensive beverage service. The lounge offers a relaxing ambience for our premium clientele,” added Nujanart Tam, Airport Services Manager – Bangkok.

With Emirates’ trademark contemporary design, the new Suvanabhumi Airport Lounge provides travellers with high quality services including; LED TVs, comfortable leather armchairs, a choice of formal and relaxed seating, a quiet area, dining area, prayer room, shower facilities, business centre, water feature and bespoke artworks. The courteous service from dedicated lounge staff completes the trademark lounge experience.

unnamed (15)Of the 35 existing lounges on the Emirates network, 24 lounges that are in the current design will all be refurbished in a phased plan.

Emirates currently operates 42 weekly flights to Bangkok with three A380 flights daily. The airline has been operating its flagship Airbus A380 on the Bangkok-Dubai and Bangkok-Hong Kong route since 2009 and reinforced its commitment to Thailand with the launch of a daily direct flight to Phuket in December 2012.

The Emirates Lounge:  

·         Can be availed by Emirates First Class and Business Class passengers as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum and Emirates Skywards Gold members.

·         Offers guests an extensive open buffet of gourmet dishes from both Thailand and around the world, as well as a complimentary full-bar service including premium wine, spirits and champagne.

·         Offers services including a fully equipped business centre with Wi-Fi connection, TV and reading areas, shower facilities and a prayer room.unnamed (18)

·         Offers seating for 136 customers with an area of 516sqm with runway views.

·         Furnished with Italian marble floors, gold Rolex clocks, leather armchairs and mahogany furniture, in line with the worldwide Emirates quality standards.

·         Emirates now operates 35 dedicated lounges around its six-continent network including lounges in Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Birmingham, Brisbane, Dubai (six lounges), Colombo, Delhi, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Manchester, Milan, Munich, Melbourne, New York – JFK, Paris – Charles de Gaulle, Perth, Rome, San Francisco, Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai and Zurich.
