Five months after Etihad Airways signed up Nicole Kidman as the face of a global brand campaign (see: Etihad signs up Nicole Kidman for new brand campaign) its Gulf airline rival Emirates appears to have pulled off something similar with Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston.
Aniston will appear in a global digital and television campaign promoting Emirates, the Dubai-based airline told Gulf News.
Gulf News quoted Emirates’ divisional senior vice president for corporate communications, marketing and brand, Boutros Boutros, as saying: “We can confirm that we are working with Ms Jennifer Aniston on a global digital and television campaign.”
Details of the advertising campaign were first reported by the New York Post over the weekend, which said the campaign had already been filmed, and claimed the deal was worth USD 5 million for Aniston.
“Jennifer Aniston has shot a high-profile campaign for Emirates as part of this deal, for which she is being paid around USD 5 million. She will appear across TV and print ads worldwide,” an unnamed source told the New York Post.
As you would expect, Emirates refused comment on the value of the contract.
“We do not wish to discuss contract details, and more information about the campaign will be unveiled in due course,” Boutros told Gulf News.
