Winners of this year’s TAT Newsroom “Blogger Thailand 2019” activity will be feted on an unprecedented scale with an adventurous trip around Thailand’s enchanted Southern region.

Now in its fourth year, the six most outstanding entries of the annual TAT Newsroom “Blogger Thailand 2019” international competition will receive a return airfare in addition to a bespoke five-day/four-night trip that explores Phuket and Phang Nga provinces.
Trip dates are tentatively set for the last week of March 2019 or the first week of April 2019. The TAT Newsroom team will arrange international flights for all winners to arrive in Bangkok one day prior to departure with festivities kicking off with a casual welcome dinner.
DAY ONE
The first day begins with the flight from Bangkok to Phuket. After arrival, all winners will enjoy a scenic road trip north from Phuket International Airport to Phang Nga province crossing the historic Sarasin Bridge.
Lunch in Khok Kloi precedes an eventful afternoon journey to Phang Nga Bay National Park, a geological wonder filled with sunken caverns, and startling rock formations rising vertically out of the sea. Get ready to be social media-active at the highly Instagramable Ko Tapu, also known as James Bond Island from the film The Man with the Golden Gun.
DAY TWO
Participants should get hyped for a little adventure with a morning kayak cruise to Khlong San Neh, locally known as the “Little Amazon”. The canal boasts a verdant ecosystem and a rich diversity of local flora and fauna.
After lunch at Krua Nong, one of two local restaurants rated in the Michelin Guide Bangkok, Phuket and Phang Nga 2019, it’s time to explore Takua Pa old town’s historic landmarks, street art, temples and local culture.
DAYS THREE & FOUR
Day three starts with arguably the best two-day exploration of Phang Nga province. It centres around the Ko Yao archipelago, which consists of two main islands, Ko Yao Noi and Ko Yao Yai plus surrounding islets.
Exploring these islands affords the opportunity to experience the local Southern Thai way of life of the Ko Yao Noi islanders who are mainly rice farmers and fishermen. Participants can try their hand at making brightly coloured batik fabric most synonymous with the region.
Day four concludes with the afternoon journey back to Phuket to catch the beautiful sunset at Promthep Cape, one of the island’s most photographed locations.
DAY FIVE
On the last day, lucky winners get a final chance to explore Phuket and experience its natural beauty, culture and historic landmarks that have helped the island receive numerous awards and accolades as one of the world’s best islands.
