  • Throughout the day from 6 to 30 April at Thai restaurant, Le Grand Lanna, Kad Dhara Shopping Village, Craft Village and Prayer Hall, guests can partake in the traditional rite of pouring water on a Buddha image to pray and wish for happiness in the new Thai year.
  • On the morning and afternoon of Tuesday 15 April a Songkran parade including Rod Nam Dam Hua elders will make its way around the resort and the Raising the Temple Grounds ritual will be held at resort’s Prayer Hall which sees the fashioning of sand pagodas decorated with flowers, a traditional practice that would raise a temple’s grounds slightly for the rainy season when the pagodas were leveled, after which a blessing ceremony will be held by the management. 

Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai is the best place for food lovers, with its renowned collection of restaurants offering the finest of dining experiences. With the summer month of April bringing the hottest weather, people turn to the dish called Khao Chae, the traditional dish served exclusively in the royal court during summer time when the weather is hot and humid to sooth the exhaustion and weakness. It consists of sumptuous jasmine-scented rice in iced water with delicately prepared scented side dishes.
