Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en will host “Nature of Hakone, Hospitality of Japan – Experience Cool Amid Japan’s Summer” until August 31, 2015. This event, specially tailored for foreign visitors to Japan, provides an opportunity to luxuriate at an authentic hot springs resort while experiencing the summer lifestyle and culture of Japanese people firsthand.
You can enjoy the hotel in a traditional yukata of Japan. The staff will tell you how to wear the yukata in a correct manner.
During the event, staff will contribute to the festive atmosphere by greeting visitors clad in Japan’s traditional “yukata” attire. A number of exhibits with a theme based on Japan’s summer will also be presented at the Hotel. In addition to an exhibit featuring goldfish, especially popular with foreign visitors, there will also be a not-to-be-missed display of 500 lovely wind-chimes that adorn the corridor leading to the hotel’s Japanese garden.
