With 34 years in the industry, she has held senior management roles within the travel franchise management sector, aviation, and travel management services. These roles include head of corporate development, American Express Franchise Network; general manager Australia/New Zealand and New Caledonia for Finnair; and general manager Australia/New Zealand for Qantas Business Travel.

Ensemble Travel Group co-president Libbie Rice also acknowledged outgoing general manager Trish Shepherd for her commitment to the organisation over the past four years.

“While we are pleased to welcome Katy into this new role, we would also like to thank Trish Shepherd for her dedication at Ensemble,” said Rice.

“Trish’s knowledge and perseverance have been instrumental in the growing presence of Ensemble Travel Group in Australia.”

Ensemble has seen significant growth in Australia and New Zealand in recent years with members benefiting from a suite of exclusive travel benefits, savings and luxury products.

Rice recently travelled to Australia for the Ensemble Members’ Forum in Sydney where she shared her vision for the coming year and highlighted the many advantages of being part of the Ensemble network.

“It’s also gratifying to see so many members in Australia already taking advantage of the Ensemble network already and we look forward to helping more travel agencies in the region benefit from our wonderful suppliers, as well as our leading technology, marketing and luxury products,” Rice added.
