Elegant, sociable, loud, and just plain cute, penguins are undeniably an Antarctic icon. To celebrate these curious creatures, Antarctic cruise specialists Aurora Expeditions will launch the #MyPenguinMoment photo competition on World Penguin Day, next Monday, 25 April 2016.
Aurora Expeditions’ #MyPenguinMoment photo competition will invite penguin enthusiasts to share their favourite penguin moments. Entrants will be able to share their best penguin photograph on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtags #MyPenguinMoment and#AuroraExpeditions, along with a comment highlighting what they love about penguins.
Whether they’ve snapped penguins in Antarctica, Australia, South Africa or elsewhere – or simply cannot resist donning a penguin onesie – entrants will be able to share their fun penguin pics for the chance to win some great prizes.
Up for grabs are two customised Aurora Expeditions 2-in-1 Polar Expedition Jackets – a must-have when visiting the penguin colonies of Antarctica – as well as a range of other smaller prize packs such as National Geographic magazines on DVD and photo book printing vouchers.
Aurora Expeditions’ #MyPenguinMoment Photo Competition will commence at 12:00am Monday 25 April 2016. Entries close 9 May 2016, 11:59pm AEST. Click here to read the full terms and conditions.
Having operated expeditions through the Antarctic region for over 20 years, Aurora Expeditions have come across at least eight of the planet’s penguin species on their Antarctic voyages. From the half-a-million strong King penguin colony of South Georgia to the 16,000 pairs of Adélie penguins in the Weddell Sea, Antarctica offers many opportunities to observe these beloved flightless birds.
