Kangaroo Island, just off the coast of South Australia is jam packed with ‘must see’ sights and natural wonders and for the first time, Kangaroo Island SeaLink – South Australia’s premier ferry, transport and tour operator, has started offering fully, personally escorted tours which are proving to be a real winner.

Three successful tours departed in February, April and May and five more are planned for September and October 2014 and March and May in 2015, with the October departure already sold out.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThese 4 Day/3 Night inclusive tours will be fully escorted by well-known South Australian Tour Host, Shirley Tamm.

Shirley has more than 35 years’ experience in the travel industry having escorted tours all around Australia and the world. All travel arrangements are taken care of and guests will be able to meet new friends while enjoying the safety and security of having their own tour escort.

“I just love showing my guests around our own back yard and sharing their memories,” Ms Tamm said.

“It is so wonderful to see the looks on people’s faces when they are on Kangaroo Island. They are in awe because they did not realise there were so many things to see and do on the island, such as cellar doors, galleries and amazing wildlife and sightseeing locations. I’ve had people come from all over Australia to join my tours – it’s just brilliant.”

The tour includes return coach and ferry travel from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island, luxury air-conditioned coach travel around Kangaroo Island for 4 days, 3 nights’ accommodation at the refurbished Aurora Ozone Hotel in Kingscote, daily continental breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners. All tour entry fees, guided tours and tastings are also included.

On Kangaroo Island the itinerary will include marvellous sights such as Seal Bay Conservation Park where guests will join a guided walk through a colony of wild Australian Sea-lions, Raptor Domain – Birds of Prey Show, Point Ellen, Vivonne Bay, Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.

The itinerary also includes visits to historic land marks and sites such as Frenchman’s Rock, the Maritime & Folk Museum, SA’s first lighthouse – Cape Willoughby, as well as many other Kangaroo Island attractions including local artworks at the KI Artworks Gallery and Shep’s Studio, the Bay of Shoals Winery for tastings and a gourmet lunch at the Andermel Marron Farm and Two Wheeler Creek Wines.

There’s also a visit to South Australia’s first sheep dairy and cheese factory, Island Pure Sheep Dairy, for a sheep milking demonstration and tastings.

On day 4 guests will sail back to the mainland and tour through the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula with a leisurely stop at Victor Harbor and Horseshoe Bay at Port Elliot for spectacular sea views before arriving in Adelaide.

The four day tour costs $1069 pp twin share with single supplement $255 pp. For bookings and further enquiries, call our Group Tour Consultant on 08 8202 8608 or visit www.sealink.com.au
