Hala Abu Dhabi, the professional conference organiser and destination management company of Etihad Airways, has recorded double-digit growth on its Abu Dhabi’s Stopover Program.
The program welcomes travellers from across the globe with Australia, Germany and the UK providing the largest visitor numbers.
The Hala Abu Dhabi Stopover Program offers competitive rates and multiple packages, working closely with travel agents to provide business, tourism and cultural services. Demand for its its services is on the rise.
Etihad Airways is the only airline in the region which offers two-stays-for-the-price-of-one and excursions as part of itsstopover program.

More than 30 per cent of stopover travellers have purchased tours and excursions from the diverse range offered in theEmirate. This includes visits to the Arabian desert; a trip to one of the world’s largest mosques; a tour of Yas Island; and sampling world class hotels and restaurants.
The most popular tours are the Hala sunset drive and BBQ, and the Hala story of Abu Dhabi city tour, which includes Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld.
Hala Abu Dhabi’s Stopover Program offers 53 hotels ranging from three- to five-star properties, with the most popular choice being Jumeirah Etihad Towers.

Hotel prices start from USD 36 for three-star, USD 53 for four-star, USD 55 for five-star per person, per night. The number of Abu Dhabi hotels has increased from 47 to 53.
In addition, the program increased the availability of 24-hour check-in from 28 to 38 hotels and has also included twoDeluxe Hotel Apartments in Abu Dhabi – Danat Residence Hotel Apartments and Majlis Grand Mercure Residence. The Park Hyatt on Saadiyat Island was also added to the list of hotel offerings.
Hala Abu Dhabi Stopover Program was launched in 2013, offering guests airport Meet & Assist service, transportation, accommodation, tours, visa processing services and corporate hospitality.
