Etihad Airways is set to celebrate its 10-year anniversary with Virgin Australia and their respective frequent flyer programs Etihad Guest and Velocity in style, launching a series of offers for Aussie travellers including a major Bonus Points promotion, followed by a One Million Points giveaway alongside a rolling program of rewards throughout 2020.
To kick-start the milestone campaign, Etihad Guest and Velocity Frequent flyer members who book flights from anywhere across Australia and New Zealand onto Abu Dhabi or across the Etihad network will be rewarded with enough bonus points to fly domestically with Virgin Australia.
Valid for bookings between 9-22 October and travel until 31 March 2020, passengers selecting to fly Economy will be given 7800 bonus points, while Business travellers will be offered 15,500 bonus points – enough for each to travel in Economy and Business respectively on a domestic ticket
The celebrations will continue with an exclusive One Million Points giveaway from Etihad to lucky Velocity members.

To be eligible for the Bonus Points promotion clients must:
(1) Book on etihad.com between 12.01am AEDT 9 October 2019 and 11.59pm 22 October 2019 inclusive (Promotion Period)
(2) Enter a valid Velocity membership number at the time of booking and ticketing and
(3) Travel by 31 March 2020.
An Eligible Flight is a flight marketed and operated by Etihad Airways, departing from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne for travel to Abu Dhabi or onward between 23 October 2019 and 31 March 2020 inclusive, on flights which Points can be earned and booked and ticketed in a fare class that normally accrues Points. A minimum of two sectors must be flown. Points cannot be earned on Velocity Reward Seat bookings. Codeshare services marketed or operated by partner airlines, other than a connecting domestic Virgin Australia flight, are not eligible for this offer.
Bonus Points are earned at a flat rate of 15,500 Points for a return journey in First Class or Business Class or 7,800 Points for a return journey in Economy Class.
This Velocity Points offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion. Travellers should allow up to 6 weeks after the travel period for the bonus Velocity Points to be allocated.
