Europcar’s loyalty program gets its own ‘upgrade’

Europcar, one of Australia’s leading vehicle rental providers, has unveiled the new features of its Privilege loyalty program, making it easier for customers to access more rewards than ever before.
Shifting the focus from percentage discounts to a more meaningful suite of rewards, Europcar has created an innovative and customer focused program that recognises the loyalty of both individual leisure customers and frequent business travellers. With this new program, Europcar aims to deliver quality service and tailor-made solutions to its customers.

While the principles of Privilege remain the same – the more a customer rents, the more they get – the new Privilege program gives access to free weekend rewards, truly exclusive coupon vouchers and a whole new range of additional benefits including car category
upgrades and access to Europcar’s fast-track ReadyService®. Panviman

Europcar Australia and New Zealand Sales and Marketing Director, Mike Warmington, said Privilege had been one of the company’s most valuable offerings since it was launched two years ago and the updated program would continue to set the benchmark for customer travel loyalty schemes for years to come.

“The idea behind Privilege is very simple. The more a customer rents, the more they get. With Privilege, we want to recognise our customers for their loyalty and the trust they place in us throughout our network in Australia and New Zealand – and also worldwide,” Mr Warmington said.

Privilege is a free loyalty program open to all Europcar customers and provides members with tiered levels of benefits – Privilege Club, Privilege Executive and Privilege Elite – all designed to reward loyal and frequent customers.

Europcar has also introduced a new top tier level to reward the most loyal customers: the black card Privilege Elite VIP tier, giving access to Priority Pass airport lounges worldwide and many other exclusive benefits.

Under the new program, Europcar has doubled the amount of time members have to accrue benefits from one year to two years, giving them a better window of opportunity to reach the next tier.

Customers can register online at the dedicated Privilege website, europcar.com.au/privilege, as well as in person at Europcar stations as of mid March 2014.

Europcar’s Privilege loyalty program: what’s new?

All customers in the Europcar Privilege loyalty program benefit from a wide range of benefits and services that simplify the rental process. These benefits include:

• Express pick-up service
• A dedicated desk to skip queues at all major airports across the world
• Exclusive benefits from our partner, Accor Hotels, giving members a 10 per cent discount on Mercure, Novotel, Sofitel and Pullman hotels worldwide
• Preferential services including guaranteed reservation Privilege Club
• A free weekend rental after 10 rentals, or 40 rental days, when being upgraded to the next tier of membership Privilege Executive
• A free weekend rental after 25 rentals, or 85 rental days, when being upgraded to the next tier of membership
• A free upgrade to a larger car, one category above the booked vehicle (subject to availability)

Privilege Elite
• A free weekend rental after 15 additional rentals, or 45 additional rental days, when being upgraded to the black Elite VIP card
• A free upgrade to a larger car, two categories above the booked vehicle (subject to availability)
• Free additional driver

Privilege Elite VIP
• A free weekend rental after 15 additional rentals, or 45 additional rental days, completed within a two-year timeframe
• A free upgrade to a larger car, two categories above the booked vehicle (subject to availability)
• Free additional driver
• Priority Pass service, which gives members access to more than 700 airport lounges worldwide, including free access for the first lounge visit
• Special offers at Sofitel and Pullman hotels.

Additionally, leisure customers also receive the following exclusive benefits as part of their Privilege membership (these benefits do not apply in conjunction with other offers including corporate rates or promotional rates).

• One free weekend rental after the third rental each year in any Europcar location world-wide
Privilege Club
• A $15 discount coupon after the second rental to make the next rental even cheaper
Privilege Executive
• A $30 discount coupon after the fifth rental to make the next rental even cheaper
Privilege Elite
• A $45 discount coupon after the fifth rental to make the next rental even cheaper
Privilege Elite VIP
• A $60 discount coupon after the fourth rental to make the next rental even cheaper.
