European Waterways has announced the release of its new fully illustrated 2020/21 hotel barge cruising brochure. The 103-page brochure details the full range of European Waterways’ exclusive collection of luxury hotel barges and their 6-night, all-inclusive itineraries.

European Waterways is also offering 10% off on a wide selection of cabin and charter cruises for 2020, valid when booked by January 6, 2020.  They represent savings of up to €7,300 (AUD$11,855) and are subject to availability.

The brochure features a wider range of experiential excursions across the company’s fleet of 17 hotel barges on the canals and waterways of Europe, an extensive array of themed cruises that are now available for cabin bookings, such as wine appreciation, golf, walking and whisky trails, as well as new e-bike options.

The expanded themed cruises mean guests can explore Southern Burgundy aboard L’Impressionniste on the Wine Appreciation cruise, exploring off the beaten path vineyards, get the opportunity to play a game of golf with the stunning Scottish Highlands as a backdrop aboard the Spirit of Scotland golf cruise, whilst malt whisky enthusiasts can experience private tours and tastings across Scottish distilleries aboard Scottish Highlanders’ Whisky Trail cruise.

The brochure also showcases a comprehensive two-page “When to Cruise” spread that looks at the unique advantages of a luxury barge cruise on any given month. For example, October is an excellent month to see the magnificent autumn foliage of the Scottish Highlands, while the tulip fields of Holland are at their most colourful in April.  Meanwhile, late August and September are special, in that guests can experience the exciting annual grape harvest celebrations in Southern France.

“We are looking forward to a great cruising season in 2020 that includes exclusive excursions and enhancements to our itineraries that raise the bar in luxury barge cruising and experiential travel,” said Derek Banks, Managing Director for European Waterways.  “Whether it is private tastings at renowned wineries and champagne houses, sampling oysters by the sea or exclusive chateaux tours, lunch with a countess or tea with a local lockkeeper, every cruise is a true immersion into the tradition, the culture and cuisine of the region” Banks continued.
