Evason Hua Hin is excited to announce the launch of its plant-based learning centre, Blue Lotus. Offering an ideal location for one of Asia’’s premier resort-located learning centres for plant-based cuisine, the facility is set among 20-acres of rich, tropical gardens, lotus ponds and includes the best produce that Thailand grows at the cooking school.
Blue Lotus will offer themed four-hour workshops starting this month, with week-long courses being introduced in June. Its integrated approach opens up possibilities for guest chefs’ visits and customised workshops for corporate events.
Blue Lotus will offer two levels of training for the week-long, hands-on classes:
Pure & Simple classes offer an introduction to casual, simple and healthy plant-based cuisine created around the learning centre’s four culinary themes: Southeast Asian, Mediterranean, Desserts and Raw Energy for active people.
Pure & Advanced classes include more advanced techniques, recipes and mentoring for experienced chefs and students who have attended the Pure & Simple classes. The focus here is on creative, project-based learning about the highlighted culinary topics.
The curriculum is centred on experimenting, learning and understanding whole plant-based foods to achieve healthy, aesthetically refined, colourful and flavourful cuisine.
“The blue lotus flower is the symbol of the victory of the spirit,” said Evason Hua Hin’s Managing Director, Alan Thomas. “Our campus is surrounded by these symbolic flowers that remind us of the positive transformation that a whole, plant-based diet can have on our body and spirit. Blue Lotus beautifully aligns with the core values of Evason and Six Senses. The facility is unique in that it offers a campus environment within a resort at a time when there is a growing interest in the benefits of a plan-based lifestyle while giving the students access to world-class learning facilities. We are excited about the opportunities that Blue Lotus offers wellness-mined food aficionados.””
