The saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers,” and while there are infrequent showers in Orlando, there’s an abundance of gorgeous flowers right now with springtime and the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World Resort.

In bloom now through May 30, 2016, the 23rd Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival boasts fun-filled exploration for every age and interest, including vibrant gardens and more than 70 world-renowned Disney-themed topiaries.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is getting into the spirit of spring with several flower-powered offerings throughout the Resort:

Floral Aromatherapy at The Spa: Indulge in an Intentional Aromatherapy Massage at The Spa at Four Seasons. This massage features five different special formulas of exquisite oils sourced from boutique, organic farms around the globe. The “Renew” scent purifies the body toward optimal health and includes essential oils of rosemary, ylang-ylang and lemongrass. The “Unwind” scent focuses on calming, grounding and relaxing and is blended to centre energy and promote restful sleep. It includes a blend of organic clary sage, lavender and marjoram. The “Play” scent is great for soothing the body and easing muscle soreness, featuring a blend of arnica flower extract, clove, peppermint, lavender and helichrysum. The “Rejoice” scent is uplifting and optimistic, “sunshine in a bottle,” with oils of sweet orange, ylang-ylang, chamomile and vanilla. Lastly, the “Love” scent is enticing and relaxing, and includes oils of jasmine, bergamot, champaca, ylang-ylang and tangerine.  This treatment is available starting at USD 170 for 50 minutes.  To reserve, contact The Spa at 407 313 6160.

Flower Power Facial at The Spa:  Formulated with high performance natural and organic plant peptides, this treatment will work in synergy with skin to stimulate collagen, firm contours, purify, hydrate and balance the skin’s PH.  Each plant ingredient is hand selected and formulated in a powerful, precise combination to address all skin concerns. This facial is enhanced with cold pressed seed oils to boost skin’s natural ability to repair, infusing it with high levels of powerful antioxidants, Omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids. The 50-minute facial is USD 165. To reserve, contact The Spa at 407 313 6160.

Capa GinTonic: The Capa GinTonic cocktail is a fan favourite. On the menu since the restaurant opened in October 2014, this drink is one of Capa’s most requested signature cocktails. What makes it a standout, other than its delicious taste, is the beautiful appearance of the drink. The Capa GinTonic features Carounn gin, Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic and striking botanicals of green apple, key lime, juniper berries and edible marigolds. The floating marigold buds, berries and apple slices make the drink as pretty to look at as it is tasty to sip.  Savour this cocktail, USD 17, at Capa Bar, open nightly from 5:00 pm to midnight.

Nature Tour: The Tranquilo Golf Club is an amazing course with abundant wildlife, including osprey, deer, turtles, wild turkeys and more. Guests don’t have to be golfers to experience the nature found along the course; on select weeknights, the golf team leads Nature Tours via golf cart.  During these scheduled events, guests can stop by Tranquilo Golf Club, check out their golf cart, and experience a scenic golf cart tour of the course, regularly rated by Golf Advisor as one of the top golf courses in Central Florida.

A Perfect 10:  Let nails convey the bright mindset of spring with a fresh, colourful manicure and polish by The Salon at Four Seasons.  Featuring Spa Ritual nail lacquers in colours including Clay, Cultivate, Days of Wine and Roses, Garden of Eden, and Harvest, a fresh mani by one of the Salon’s talented nail technicians is a perfect day brightener.  A Classic Manicure at The Salon is USD 50. To reserve, contact The Spa at 407 313 6160.

Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue: Flowers are in fashion right now, and fashionistas can find plenty of options to choose from at the Resort’s designer boutique, Wardrobe.  From signature floral frocks by Lilly Pulitzer to bold prints by Trina Turk, there are numerous options at Wardrobe to add a little spring in one’s step.  Wardrobe is open daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm on the Resort’s lobby level.

Resort Gardens: While the main attraction for flowers this spring is definitely the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, visitors to Four Seasons Resort Orlando will surely enjoy the expansive manicured lawns and lushly landscaped walkways including the main palm-tree-lined canopy with medjool date palms. In addition, the Resort’s stunning grand entryway, anchored by the signature firework-inspired crystal chandelier, is flanked by two ever-changing floral arrangements that create an ideal backdrop to snap a picture-perfect photo.
