Exciting New Developments Revealed at TravelManagers Regional Meetings

TravelManagers, Australia’s leading personal travel manager network has recently completed their latest round of bi-annual regional meetings across Australia.

Hosted by the local state-based business partnership managers, the seven regional meetings allowed the personal travel managers to network and learn more about upcoming new developments.

“We’ve been holding local regional meetings with our personal travel managers since 2008. We find it’s a great way to ensure everybody is kept up to date with developments in our business,” says TravelManagers’ General Manager Michael Gazal.

Gazal says the TravelManagers’ approach is all about belonging and making sure personal travel managers know the company only succeeds when they succeed.

“An overriding objective for all our regional meetings, and in fact everything the national partnership office does with the personal travel managers, is to create a sense of family and encouraging the understanding that we are all working together towards one end. It’s all about mutual success,” he says.

Following personal travel manager feedback on what information, resources, and support they required, practical training sessions and thought provoking interactive discussion was the focus of the latest round of regional meetings.

Key highlights included a social media update, a sneak preview of the new look intranet site planned for release early 2014 and an update on future system developments. This was complimented by an interactive discussion around working on your business as opposed to in your business, and understanding the balance between attracting new clients and servicing existing ones.

A select group of preferred suppliers are invited to attend each regional meeting.

“The regional meetings always provide a great opportunity for our preferred supplier partners to network directly with our personal travel managers. We were delighted to have Amadeus, Driveaway, Cruise Office and Adventure World promote their products and unique selling points fostering greater supplier relationships,” says Gazal.

TravelManagers holds regional meetings twice a year in seven locations around Australia, complimenting the offshore National Conference in November and supplemented by regular intra-state cluster meetings.

“For the personal travel managers who can’t be there, we follow up with webinars so that everyone has the opportunity to be part of the team process and across new developments,” says Gazal
