The ultra-chic and luxurious W Retreat Koh Samui will be hosting two gastronomic dinners created by famous Chef Jacob Jan Boerma on July 27 and 28, 2015 at W Beach, bringing the very first 3-Michelin star dining experience to the island.
In a unique collaboration, cocktails will be specially created by world renowned mixologist, Guillermo Gonzalez from “Hiding in Plain Sight” (HPS) bar in Amsterdam to complement a 8-course menu created by 3-Michelin star Chef Jacob, who will showcase his culinary flair by combining fresh local ingredients with the latest cooking techniques available. The menu will consist of appetizers with cocktail pairings as well as some tantalizing dishes such as King Crab, Duck Liver Apple & Caviar, BBQ Lobster Fennel, Turbot with Red Beets Dill & Lemon, Lozere Lamb, Vadouvan, Cumin & Parmesan, Raspberry, Verbena, Flowers & Citrus and Mango, Chocolate & Vitamin C. Chef Jacob, one of the world’s youngest Michelin star chefs, is the owner and Head Chef of “De Leest” restaurant in Vaassen, The Netherlands. He received his first Michelin star within six months of opening his restaurant in 2002, the second star in 2007 and the highest recognition of three stars in 2013. His talent is reflected by many reputable awards and accolades including being listed among the 50 best chefs in the world at www.lechef.com, accredited with GaultMillau Chef of the Year in 2010, and achieved the title of Master Chef, the highest achievement for any chef, in 2013.
