With Fijian Tourism Expo well over for another year and this year having been a resounding success, Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya said during the event that the Fiji Government was in no rush to appoint a Chief Executive Officer for Tourism Fiji.
He said, “They have been without a CEO for over a year following the departure of Rick Hamilton in May 2014, with Tourism Fiji having selected a CEO after advertising the role but the applicant did not accept the position.”
He said that Truman Bradley who is the new chairman is currently overlooking Tourism Fiji, adding, “Currently we’ve got the executive chairman Truman Bradley who has done a very great job, but, eventually it will happen – yes, we will appoint a CEO, but it’s not something that will happen tomorrow.”
