Executive Chef Matt Hart Spearheads an Interactive Dining Experience This Mother’s Day

On a day where extravagantly-long lunches are all-but mandatory, InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort has upped the ante with the ultimate Mother’s Day Luncheon inside Cove Café, spearheaded by Executive Chef, Matt Hart.

“We have completely transformed how we treat Mother’s Day celebrations,” said Executive Chef, Matt Hart. “Our culinary team has reconceptualised the traditional Cove Café buffet to offer families an interactive dining experience; an experience that has not only stretched the creativity and talent of our team, but an experience that complements the importance and sentimentality of the day.”

The Cove Café Mother’s Day luncheon will offer a progressive series of cold starters, designed cones and crafted sushi, followed by an iconic Seafood Market – boasting fresh oysters, prawns, sand crabs, mussels and Hiramasa. Interactive chef’s stations with choose-your-own BBQ follow, including Moreton Bay Bug skewers, fresh scallops in shells and minute steaks.

For a streak of international culinary know-how, the team has also installed a market stall of fresh Italian pizzas and a dumpling station presenting the best of yum cha, dadar gulung and calamari on cane skewers. Mum will also have the choice of traditional hot plates, featuring baked gruyere, beef cheeks and Sunday roast vegetables.

In all its themed glory, the interactive dessert buffet presents a suite of pink and white lollipops, mini Bailey’s cheesecake, strawberry fields, InterContinental signature doughnuts, cappuccino crème caramel and white chocolate mousse among the sweet heroes.

For added sweetness, all mums will receive a glass of bubbles on arrival with the selected NV Amadio Black Label, as well as a personalised cupcake as a gift from the Resort.

Available Sunday 14 May only, 12:00pm-3:30pm in Cove Café.
Pricing: $95.00 per adult, $47.50 per child, children under four-years eat free.
