Expedia Lodging Partner Services has announced two senior appointments to its Asia Pacific leadership team to support the growth of its hotel portfolio across the region.
Drew Bowering has been appointed as the new director, Australia for the Expedia LPS team. Since joining Expedia in 2008, Drew has progressed across various regions and functions in Expedia. Most recently, he lead the Distribution Accounts team for Expedia’s Asia Pacific operations, focusing on developing partnerships with key connectivity providers. Drew brings extensive Global Market Management and Global Partner Group experience from all three major Expedia regions (APAC, North America, EMEA). He will be primarily responsible for establishing and developing hotel partner relationships and maximising partners’ exposure to Expedia’s 150 global travel booking sites.
Teresa Matheson has been appointed as Director, New Zealand and Pacific Islands, a newly created role within Expedia. A native New Zealander, Teresa will head the growing NZ Expedia LPS operations. Previously, Teresa was based in the United States with American Express Global Business Travel. Teresa will be responsible for building and managing relationships with Expedia’s vibrant hotel portfolio in New Zealand and Pacific Islands.
These appointments coincide with David Hamblin’s transition to Asia region. With over seven years of experience in the Australia Market Management team, David will now relocate from Sydney to Singapore and spearhead the continued growth of Lodging Partner Services across South East-Asia region.
