By the time you read this sentence, Expedia has processed 5 new bookings. “Expedia passes the online competition test, every second of every day,” claims Stuart Udy who heads up Expedia TAAP across ANZ.

Based on 2013 published numbers, Expedia acquires an average of 1.25 new bookings, every second of every day. “The best endorsement you can get is when your customers keep coming back again and again,” says Udy. “Travel Agents have confidence in Expedia TAAP because they know we have to be on the ball and very competitive to be the best online,” claims Stuart. “Expedia TAAP helps Travel Agents with customer loyalty because the agent can offer their client great service, along with the best deals in the market.”

Expedia is the largest Full Service online travel provider globally. The Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) encourages Travel Agents to book through Expedia and earn great commission on the products they sell. Almost 40,000 Travel Agents are registered for the program across 31 countries.

“Distribution for the Travel Industry has advanced dramatically over the past few years,” says Stuart. “Expedia access most rates and inventory automatically, directly from the supplier which gives us access to more room types, last bed availability and better dynamic rates. Customers are demanding the best possible rates they can see on the internet but they still want access to the great service of their Travel Agent. Expedia TAAP gives the agents the tools they need to keep their customers coming back.”
