Australian travel tech company, Locomote, today announced it has integrated with global expense management platform Expensify, the fastest growing expense reporting software company worldwide, to simplify business travel, making it more efficient and smarter. The partnership will make business travel an integrated experience, connecting all the tools needed to plan, book and report business trips in real-time, saving organisations up to 35 per cent in costs.
Expensify’s SmartScan that captures payments data directly from receipts will seamlessly sync with Locomote’s user-friendly travel solution, which enables companies to manage every aspect of their business travel, including authorisations, duty of care, budgets, expenses and more.
This integration will empower businesses to have complete control and visibility of their employee travel spend, will import all transactions into their accounting package, and will automatically create a report based on itinerary dates and incurred expenses.
The strategic partnership with Expensify comes off the back of Locomote’s rapid growth in the last 12 months, signing customers such as ANZ, Allen & Overy, Medibank and World Vision.
David Barrett, Founder and CEO of Expensify, said the integration with Locomote is pivotal to the business travel industry.
“We are confident that the Locomote-Expensify partnership will deliver a leading travel and expense solution to the corporate market. Together, we are giving companies a holistic view of their business travel and the true cost of each trip.
“Locomote is a unique solution with a solid infrastructure. They have the product knowledge and expertise which allowed us to ramp up efforts and hit the market hard and at speed,” said Barrett.
The travel and expense tech platform works with personal, small business and corporate cards, and automates the entire travel and expense reporting process.
From travel reservations to incidental expenses, Expensify and Locomote will make business travel easy and efficient for both employees and administrators.
Locomote’s CEO & Executive Chairman, Philip Weinman, said both companies have a like-minded vision to transform the travel and expense space and they’ve transferred it to this platform.
We are excited to partner with Expensify in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
“The Locomote platform, which now includes a seamless integrated expense management system, will simplify business travel for employees, travel managers, financial departments and everyone in between,” said Weinman.
