Experience The City Of London’s Newest Hot Spot – The Rotunda Bar At Four Seasons Hotel London At Ten Trinity Square

Taking its place amid London’s lively bar scene, the City’s newest hot spot, the Rotunda Bar, is set in a striking location beneath a stunning art deco domed ceiling at the new Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square. Perfect for after work drinks, pre-dinner aperitivo or a nightcap, the bar has an impressive menu of creative cocktails, refined classics and rare vintage spirits as well as delicious bar snacks to share.

The Rotunda sits at the heart of the Hotel and forms a natural gathering space for visitors and guests. The heritage building’s past as headquarters of the Port of London Authority is reflected in the maritime-inspired details of its elegant architecture and interiors, including the beautiful domed ceiling, a replica of the original, which was badly damaged during WW II.

At the Rotunda Bar, Head Bartender Michal Maziarz and his talented team aim to let the guests define what they like, keeping the number of ingredients minimal but making everything in-house to ensure they can create and control flavours using simple combinations. The cocktail list is based on a series of ideas that Michal dreamed up long ago and he has finally found the right setting from which to launch them.

Michal is also keen to ensure that the menu represents the history and heritage of the setting at Ten Trinity Square. Cocktails include the Forget-Me-Not, which uses Earl Grey tea, along with gin, sparkling wine, coriander seeds and tiny blue flowers around the base of the glass. The story behind the cocktail is linked to the maritime history of Ten Trinity Square and the idea of sailors’ wives wearing forget-me-nots to pay tribute to their husbands at sea. Even the design of the menu links back to the building with each cocktail represented by a compass that is designed to help guests navigate their way through the menu.

Other cocktails specifically designed for the Rotunda Bar include a new take on the Old Fashioned, the P.P.F (Past Present Future), a rich, full-bodied mix of Bulleit rye whisky, rum and fortified wine, topped with an infused amarena cherry. Much like the restoration of the landmark Ten Trinity Square building, this interpretation of a classic cocktail is something that future generations can continue to enjoy.

The menu includes an impressive array of whiskies and vintage spirits that are organised into a timeline of the history of Ten Trinity Square, picking out key dates in the building’s heritage and matching them with different vintages. Mostly one-of-a-kind, the extensive list of spirits in the selection date back to 1922, when the Port of London Authority Headquarters officially opened, with a Croix de Salles and two different cognacs.

With live music daily between 3:00 and 5:00 pm and a trio performing Thursday–Saturday, the bar offers not only a great atmosphere but convenient location, historic ambiance and the assurance of world-renowned Four Seasons service.

The Rotunda Bar is complemented by lounge dining in the Rotunda and the Hotel’s two destination restaurants – La Dame de Pic London, the UK debut from acclaimed French chef Anne-Sophie Pic and a new Asian concept, which will follow later in the spring.

Opening hours are 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight.
