After exploring the seven themed lands of Hong Kong Disneyland, guests will soon be able to take a break by relaxing amidst the magic at the brand new hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge, which is set to throw open its doors on 30th April 2017.  Dedicated to the spirit of exploration, the motto of the new hotel is ‘ad explorare et somniare’ (to explore and dream).

To add to the excitement, guests at Hong Kong Disneyland can also expect to be enthralled by the first ever Marvel-themed ride.  Launched earlier this year, Iron Man Experience is perfect for fans of one of the greatest super heroes and, latest figures reveal that the attraction is already generating extremely positive feedback from all visitors to the theme park.

David Clark, Head of Travel and Business Development AU/NZ, The Walt Disney Company, said,

“The Disney Explorers Lodge invites guests to escape into a new world full of discovery, nature and exotic cultures via the hotel’s interiors, gardens and rooms, providing an enchanting atmosphere to unwind in after a day spent exploring.  The hotel is designed and decorated based on four unique cultures, and the tropical climates of Asia, Oceania, South America and Africa.”

The rooms at the hotel feature exotic furnishings to match the unique cultures and features views of the distinctively landscaped tropical gardens surrounding the four wings of the hotel.  Hotel highlights include: the South American garden, Kevin Garden; Little Squirt Garden, which reflects the Oceania region; the Asian garden, Hathi Jr. Garden; and the Rafiki Garden, which showcases the African Savannah garden.  Each garden includes elements of the animations that are associated with the gardens.  The hotel also features a large swimming pool overlooking the South China Sea.

The hotel’s three restaurants encompass Dragon Wind, World of Colour Restaurant and Chart Room Café.  Dragon Wind offers guests authentic Cantonese and provincial delicacies of ancient China; World of Colour Restaurant provides food from cultures across the seas, islands and continents; whilst Chart Room Café offers a more casual dining experience and an eclectic selection of speciality coffees.

Guests who are staying at the Disney Explorers Lodge Hotel will also receive a Priority Admission Pass to at least one park attraction, including the Iron Man Experience.  This new ride allows everyone to unleash their inner super-hero, in a high-flying adventure.  In Tomorrowland, guests can examine Stark Industries innovations, meet Iron Man and try on his armour virtually, before boarding a special Expo-edition Iron Wing flight vehicle.  With StarkVision glasses, guests can soar through the streets of Hong Kong battling the evil forces of Hydra with Iron Man.

“The response to the Iron Man Experience is fantastic.  It is one of our most popular attractions, with 98% of guests saying they had an enjoyable experience and 97% saying the attraction exceeded their expectations.  Hong Kong Disneyland spent over three years designing and creating the new attraction complete with flight simulators, 3-D projection, surround sound and other special effects, enveloping guests in the world of Marvel” added Clark.

For guests to make the most of their time at Hong Kong Disneyland, they can download the official mobile app, keeping them posted on all the excitement, including entertainment schedules, opening hours and the schedule and location of Disney Characters.  Guests can use the GPS-enabled map to find their way around the park or make a reservation at one of the many dining establishments.
