Bring your holiday memories into focus on Explore Worldwide’s new expert-led photography trips. Jordan Photographic Discovery (9-days, departs 2-10 March 2019, prices start from $2,530pp)

Led by Robert Harvey, this trip visits the fabled rock-hewn city of Petra with special access to the site before the crowds arrive. Capture the Druze tribes in Azraq as well as seeking out spectacular desert scenes in Wadi Rum and camp under the stars in a Bedouin tent.

Photographing Sri Lanka (12-days, departs 23 March – 4 April 2019, prices start from $3.670pp)

Discover Sri Lanka’s ancient cities, rock carvings and gilded temples with experienced photographer Renato Granieri. Highlights of the trip include the opportunity to photograph the rolling hills of the spectacular Golden Valley tea plantations, wildlife-filled national parks and idyllic tropical coastline. Capture the rich Buddhist history through the lens whilst meeting friendly faces along the way.

Photographing Borneo’s Wildlife Safari (10-days, departs 12-23 July and 22 July-2 August 2019, with prices from $3,380pp)      

Ideal for keen wildlife photographers this trip offers the perfect opportunity to encapsulate the endemic wildlife of Borneo with Renato Granieri. Travel through the jungles of Sabah capturing feeding time at the Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary and cruise along the Kinabatangan River hoping to snap bathing pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys and striking hornbills. The trip also features a sunrise climb up the observation tower in the Danum Valley, with a chance to photograph the eerie spectacle of the morning mist rolling across the lush jungle canopy below.

 Serengeti Photographic Safari (12-days, departs 1-14 September 2019, prices start from $8,370pp)

With advice, help and support from expert photographer Robert Harvey, this trip is a great way to photograph big game up-close and to capture the landscapes of Tanzania. Search for the ‘Big Five’ inside the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest complete caldera, snap bird life around Lake Manyara and capture the incredible spectacle of the migration across the Serengeti’s vast plains. This trip also includes an opportunity to shoot Tarangire’s primeval Boabab trees and to meet and photograph the legendary Maasai tribe.

 Best of the Western US (12-days, departs 15-28 November 2019, prices start from $6,100pp)

This trip, led by professional photographer Robert Harvey, provides a chance to photograph America’s vast landscapes as well as an opportunity to learn the skill of astrophotography. Walk among the red rock hoodoos of Bryce Canyon, capture the sunrise over the iconic formations in Arches National Park and discover the sweeping views across one of the world’s greatest natural wonders – the Grand Canyon. The trip is planned around the moon phases giving the best possible chance of seeing the Milky Way.

Put your new skills into practise to photograph the dramatic rock-hewn churches in Lalibela, the geleda monkeys in the Simien Mountains and at Tississat Falls, known locally as ‘the water that smokes’.
