Explore Sydney on board True North for a Christmas to remember

November 12, 2013 Cruise No Comments Email Email

This December following its Papua New Guinea season, the majestic True North will sail into Sydney for a series of exciting summer itineraries taking in some of Australia’s iconic coastal destinations.

Kicking off the summer season is the four day Sydney Rocks sailing. With two departure dates over Christmas and New Year, Sydney Rocks is the ultimate way to see some of Sydney’s most spectacular scenery.

From front row seats at the starting line for the Sydney to Hobart and at Sydney’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks, to the beautiful waterways of Pittwater and then up to the mouth of the mighty Hawkesbury estuary, this four day adventure will make this festive season one to remember!

Next up, True North will travel to South Australia for a nine day Southern Safari adventure. Meeting in Adelaide, guests will travel by private transfer to McLaren Vale for an afternoon of exceptional food and wine tasting before boarding True North in time for sunset cocktails.

True North will then set sail for beautiful and rugged Kangaroo Island to experience what is often called ‘Australia’s Galapagos’;  one of Australia’s true wildlife sanctuaries. On to Eyre Peninsula, South Australia’s aquaculture playground, where the True North guest’s harvest oysters in Coffin Bay, fish for King George whiting and even cage dive with great white sharks. True North’s Southern Safari is Australia’s most magical marine adventure.

“True North’s Sydney sailings are the ultimate way to spend the festive season in style,” says Peter Trembath, GM at North Star Cruises. “And there is no better way to explore famed Kangaroo Island and around Eyre than being on-board the True North.”

“And with our knowledgeable and all-Australian crew of 20, a maximum of just 36 guests can be rest-assured that they will be outrageously spoilt in signature True North style. It makes for a nice change from the usually frantic festive season!”

Daily activities can include scenic walks, fishing, snorkelling, diving, picnics, helicopter flights, cultural and historical events and, much more!  All shore excursions are accessed via True North’s fleet of expedition boats.

Style, comfort and exceptional food and wine are also at the heart of a True North experience.

Modern Australian cuisine is prepared with locally sourced seasonal ingredients is complimented by True North’s outstanding wine selection.
