MELBOURNE-based rail experts International Rail have announced that it is the sole Australian based distributor of tickets to the annual Universal Exhibition which is being hosted by Milan, Expo Milan 2015, from May 1 until October 31.
Known as the largest non-commercial exhibition in the world, it is comprised of 140 countries show casing their latest technology and innovations in the plight for a more sustainable world- with this year’s theme being “Feeding the Plant, Energy for Life”.
As official Australian partner of the Italian Railway Trenitalia, International Rail can provide numerous rail ticket options for Australians to access the event from across Italy and from neighboring countries such as Switzerland and France. With over 20 million visitors expected, this popular expo will cover 1.1 million square meters of exhibition area and will be accessible by public transportation only.
The most effective way to access the expo is on Italy’s high speed LeFrecce trains and EuroCity trains that will operate to Rho Fiera station- the closest station to the expo entrance. Tickets are priced from $71 per adult in 2nd class from popular Italian cities such as Rome.
Those who are travelling to the Milan Expo from other destinations in Europe such as Switzerland, tickets can be purchased to travel directly to the expo. These start from $60 in 2nd class from Zurich.
