Extra time to explore a WA icon Astor to overnight in Albany

The iconic West Australian city of Albany will welcome the premium cruise ship Astor for an overnight stay in late January 2016.unnamed (5)Astor’s cruises to the popular Great Southern destination proved so popular during the past couple of seasons, that the opportunity has been gifted over this coming summer for guests to enjoy an extended stay.

The Cruise the Coast itinerary will depart from her home port of Fremantle on Sunday, January 31 and sail for six nights, returning in the early morning of Tuesday, February 2.

Passengers will have the chance to fully explore Albany and all she has to offer – including the new operations that relate to the Anzac Day 100 year Anniversary celebrations – without having to rush. The ship will pull into the port that the original Anzacs left from at 9am on Saturday, January 31 and not depart until 4pm the following afternoon.

Esperance is known for its natural beauty, boasting spectacular beaches with crystal clear water and white sand, as well as the captivating Cape Le Grand National Park and the life-sized replica of Stone Henge.

Astor will return to Perth in December to begin her third Australian summer and will again be calling Fremantle home. Her spacious cabins and suites have been popular with WA’s growing cruising population in her first two seasons and she has enjoyed a passenger satisfaction rating of 94 per cent.
