Fairmont San Francisco’s Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, Debuts New Cocktail Menu

unnamed-3Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar is thrilled to announce an exciting new cocktail menu, which marks the world-famous venue’s first beverage update in three years. Following several months of research and tastings, the celebrated establishment’s talented bartenders have developed the menu to consist of two themes, Classic Tiki and Modern Tiki.Classic Tiki cocktails are the Tonga Room team’s favorite original recipes that they “unearthed” and felt passionate about bringing back to life. For example, the “1934 Zombie” is the exact recipe that Don the Beachcomber used when he first created the cocktail in 1934.

Modern Tiki cocktails are an assortment of classic drinks with a Tonga Room twist, such as the “Hurry Kane”, or new Tonga Room-specific signature cocktails, like the “Tonga Kong”.

With the introduction of these new and improved cocktails, Tonga Room, which Anthony Bourdain called “like the most amazing place in the history of the world,” on his Travel Channel series “The Layover” in 2012, is about to become even more amazing!
