Fashion Show and Grand Canal Shoppes Continue to Shape the Retail Landscape in Las Vegas With Over 50 Store Openings Since 2016

Fashion Show and Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas, two of the most-visited shopping and lifestyle destinations on the famed Las Vegas Strip, continue to standout in the city’s crowded retail landscape with a combined 39 store openings and expansions totaling close to 100,000 square feet of leased space for the past year with an additional 14 projects planned for the remainder of 2017.   

2016-2017 Property Highlights:

Fashion Show

  • Throughout 2016 Fashion Show was home to 19 new leases, relocations and expansions that totaled over 40,000 square feet.
  • 2017 has already seen very strong openings with an additional 14,000 square feet of retail being added to the property’s diverse and eclectic offerings.
  • There is no sign of slowdown for the remainder of the year with another six concepts coming to the property totaling an additional 5,000 square feet.
  • Over the past year, Fashion Show has welcomed several first-to-market and highly sought-after brands such as Tory Sport, the popular athleisure line from famed designer Tory Burch and Austin-based jewelry designer, Kendra Scott (set to open in May).
  • Known for far more than retail, Fashion Show has also opened the iconic celebrity hot spot Sugar Factory in March of 2017. The strip-side location boasts over 9,000 square feet on the property’s expanded plaza.
  • Additional standout openings and expansions include: Under Armor, Sephora, Lush, Ugg, Benihana, Alex & Ani and more.

“Fashion Show has always been home to an eclectic mix of offerings from first-to-market retailers to iconic restaurant brands and over the past year we have seen some great additions to our long list of tenants,” said Jim Heilmann, senior general manager for Fashion Show. “We are not just a retail destination, we pride ourselves on offering the very best in shopping, dining and entertainment.”

Anchored by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Macy’s Men’s, Dillard’s, DICK’S Sporting Goods and Forever 21, the center offers something for every shopper at every price point. Fashion Show spans an impressive 2 million square feet with 250-plus boutiques and eight anchor department stores, including a few that are the only locations in Nevada: Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, both of which have been at Fashion Show since 1981 when the original center opened, bringing true fashion and haute couture to Las Vegas locals and tourists for more than 35 years.

Grand Canal Shoppes

  • Throughout 2016 Grand Canal Shoppes was home to 15 new leases, relocations and expansions that totaled close to 39,000 square feet.
  • 2017 has started off strong with more additions through the remainder of the year. In total, 10 openings and expansions will take place this year covering over 27,000 square
  • Home to some of the best dining options in Las Vegas, the center added the first west coast location of SUGARCANE raw bar grill in late 2016. This marks the James Beard Award nominated Miami eatery’s inaugural expansion, encompassing over 6,500 square feet on Restaurant Row.
  • Other standout additions included first-to-market ROYCE’ Chocolate, the notable Japanese chocolate brand, INGLOT, Karma & Luck, along with Louis Vuitton, featuring the brands new store prototype and design based off the Atelier at Louis Vuitton Soho boutique in New York.
  • Still to come in 2017 will be the much-anticipated opening of Chica from celebrity chef Lorena Garcia and an added location of the photo-worthy ice bar experience Minus 5.
